Information You Choose to Send
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the independent provider that operates that tool. St. Bernard Parish Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The search provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query and any results.
Emails and Contact Messages
When someone sends an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and supplied contact details as needed to respond and keep a record of the exchange. We do not disclose those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Basic technical information may be recorded when a page loads. It helps the site function, reveals performance problems, and shows how visitors reach and use the material.
- The internet protocol address associated with the request
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring page or website, when supplied
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may be used to understand site use and remember limited preferences. Visitors can refuse or remove cookies through browser controls. Blocking them may cause search, analytics, advertising, or other features to behave differently.
Reasons We Use Information
Collected information is used only for practical operation and improvement of the service.
- Maintain reliable pages and reasonable loading speed
- Send search requests to the appropriate outside search partner
- Identify which St. Bernard Parish resources visitors find useful
- Diagnose errors, abuse, and technical failures
- Present advertising that may reflect general visitor interests
When You Follow Outside Links
Links may lead to the St. Bernard LA VINE roster, SBSO records contacts, District Attorney and Clerk systems, Louisiana DPS&C, federal locators, news publishers, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy notice and data practices apply. We do not control those systems.
Advertising providers may use their own cookies or related technology to understand activity across multiple websites and select interest-based ads. That processing takes place on the provider’s systems, not the systems operated by St. Bernard Parish Busted Mugshots.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may pass to service providers that perform a necessary function or to an authority acting under valid legal process.
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and page use
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Safeguards and Their Limits
Reasonable, commonly used technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information in our control. No internet transmission, connected service, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, a person may ask us to address information held in our systems.
- Request a copy of personal data we maintain
- Ask that incorrect information be corrected
- Request deletion of eligible personal data
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where available
These choices do not control records held by SBSO, LA VINE, a court, a news publisher, or a search partner. Requests concerning an outside record must go to the organization that maintains it.
Revisions to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as services, legal duties, or data practices change. The updated wording and a new effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use after publication means the revised notice applies.
